If you are from West Michigan and have never seen "Small Town Santa", don't feel bad because it was a pretty small budget movie. But, it is set in our very own Rockford, Michigan.

"Small Town Santa" is a holiday comedy that feels like a Hallmark movie and is perfect for the family.

This heartwarming tale follows a Rockford Sheriff who lost his holiday spirit, but after an interesting encounter he relearns the magic of Christmas. Sheriff Rick Langston gets called on Christmas Eve about a home intruder who turns out to be, you guessed it, Santa Claus. The Sheriff makes the arrest, but quickly finds out who his perp actually is. And with the help of Santa and a little girl named Lucy, Sheriff Rick learns that love is all around him and that the holidays truly are magical.

The film even features the now closed Forest Hills Inn, a local church, Downtown Rockford, and some exterior shots of other notable buildings.

The best part about this movie, other than several Michigan references, is that it is completely free and available on YouTube, Tubi, Vudu, Crackle, and Popcornflix.

So, when you are looking for a fun and funny Christmas movie to watch with your family, be sure to give "Small Town Santa" a try.

The movie was directed by Michigan native, Joel Paul Reisig, and stars fellow Michigan natives Dean Cain and Sophie Bolen.
