Walmart Giving Employees Cash Bonuses & Hiring 150K New Employees

Walmart had two big announcements Thursday, one that’s helpful for current employees and the other is good for anyone who recently found themselves needing new employment - or supplemental employment.

Fox 17 reports that Walmart announced that all hourly associates who were employed as of March 1st, will receive a cash bonus for their dedication and continued hard work during the coronavirus pandemic.  The company said they’d pay out the bonuses April 2nd.

According to the retailer said the cash bonuses will add up to more than $365 million; full-time hourly employees will get $300 and part-time employees will receive $150.

But wait, that’s not all!

Walmart also announced they will be hiring 150,000 new associates now through the end of May for positions in stores, clubs and distribution centers.

The Fox 17 story also says the hiring process will go from 2 weeks to 24-hours for cashiers and stockers which is great for people looking to make money sooner than later.
