Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11, and you can't help celebrate the heroes at Mission BBQ in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

If you say you are patriotic and you support the men and women who have served in our armed forces, well now you have a chance to show it at Mission BBQ from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Veterans Day.

The pledge of allegiance starts at Noon. You will be able to enjoy food, drinks and learn more about hope for heroes.

Metro Health is the presenting sponsor for the event. Other partners that are involved are Grand Tap Media, Grow Business Today and of course the host of the event, Mission BBQ.

Veterans day will be day of celebrating those who have served in the armed forces but will also be day of awareness to some of the problems our veterans are facing.

On average 20 Veterans die from suicide each day but even just 1 is too many. These folks put their lives on the line and they need our help and that is where Tango 3 and Frontlines Of Freedom come into play.

Tango 3 Missions are Army/Military suicide prevention and support for survivors of suicide. Visit Tango 3's Facebook page that is filled with information on how to reduce veteran suicide rates.

Frontlines Of Freedom are the nation's oldest and largest military talk radio program. This program serves our military veterans, active, families and friends/supporters across America and on foreign bases too. They are nationally syndicated in over 120 stations in 35 plus states.

Retired Lieutenant Denny Gillem is the creator and the host. Gillem records the program each week right here in Grand Rapids.

It is now time to show our appreciation for veterans and the perfect place to celebrate them is at Mission BBQ located at 2190 East Beltline, NE Grand Rapids, Mi on Veterans Day. We hope to see you there.
