University of Michigan Hockey Is Headed Back To The Frozen Four
The University of Michigan men's hockey team has had a solid season and for the second year in a row, the Wolverines will return to the Frozen Four.
2022/23 U of M Hockey
The Wolverines have had a solid season on the ice with an overall record of 26-11-3. 12 of those wins were in the conference with a bulk of their successes coming at home. The team has also been strong on the road.
The Wolverines were 500 against rivals Ohio State winning 2, losing 2, and tying one game. U of M dominated their other rival Michigan State 3 games to 1 in regular season play.
Big Ten Tournament
The University of Michigan men's hockey team had a dominating win against Ohio State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament winning 7-3. The Wolverines knocked off #1 Minnesota 4-3 to claim their 3 overall Big Ten Title.
Wolverine Hockey in NCAA Tournament
For the second year in a row, the Michigan Wolverines have made the NCAA tournament.
The Wolverines had a dominant victory over Colgate in the first round of the NCAA tournament winning 11-1.
The Wolverine's second battle in the NCAA tournament was a very close game against Penn State winning in overtime 2-1. Both teams' defenses played tough right down to the last second of the game.
The University of Michigan Makes the Frozen Four For the Second Year in a Row
Michigan's win over Penn State earned them another visit to the Frozen Four making this their 27th appearance.
The number 3 Wolverines will take on the number 2 Quinnipiac in Tampa, Florida. Hockey fans that want to catch the game will see it on April 6 at 8:30 P.M. on ESPS2.
