ESPN has put together a list of what they feel is college football's 10 most unbreakable records. A few of these records have ties to Michigan. No matter how much college football has changed, there are some records that stand the test of time.

According to ESPN below are the top 10 unbeatable records:

  1. Oklahoma's 47-Game Winning Streak - 1953 through 1957
  2. Barry Sander's Magical Season at Oklahoma State - single season rushing record of 2,628 yards in 11 games
  3. Florida State's Top-5 Finishes - top-5 in every final AP poll from 1987-2000
  4. Oklahoma's Wishbone Onslaught - averaging more than 250 yards per game
  5. Throwing it to the Wrong Team - Florida Gators QB threw 9 interseptions in one game.
  6. Derrick Thomas' Sack Parade - 52 sacks while playing at Alabama with 27 of those in one season.
  7. Hat Trick for Antonio Perkins - First player in NCAA history to score on three punt returns.
  8. Marcus Allen's Amazing Run - Allen rushed for more that 200 years in 8 of 11 games but 5 of those were in a row. Allen is also the only player ever to win a college national championship, Heisman Trophy, Super Bowl championship, Super Bowl MVP, and NFL MVP, which may never be duplicated.
  9. Patrick Mahomes' Wizardry - In one game with Texas Tech against Oklahoma Mahomes set a record for 819 yards of total offense. Completed 52 of 88 passes for 734 yards, and five touchdowns, rushed for 85 yards and scored 2 touchdowns but still lost the game.
  10. No Upsetting Nick Saban - As coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide they won 100 consecutive games and went 14 years without losing a game to an unranked opponent.

Out of the top 10 unbreakable college football records, 2 have ties to Michigan. Barry Sanders went on to play for the Detroit Lions, and before Nick Saban coached at Alabama, he coached at Michigan State University from 1995 to 1999.
