The Tigers have pulled off one of the most miraculous comebacks in any season in MLB history to make it to the playoffs. However, this incredible hot streak wouldn't have been possible without the very own Whitecaps considering over half of the team has spent time playing here in West Michigan.

The West Michigan Whitecaps is a High-A Affiliate of the Tigers, so many players play on minor league teams like the Whitecaps after being scouted in high school and college, or when a player who has made it into the MLB is injured and is getting eased back into the game.

The Tigers are in the playoffs for the first time in over 10 years after a disappointing appearance in 2014 after getting swept by the Orioles. Thankfully, this 2024 squad is already doing better than that team a decade ago considering they're up 1-0 against the Astros.

After the trade deadline, the Tigers were 52-57 and 500-1 odds at winning the World Series, but now they're 86-76 and BetMGM lists them with 28-1 odds to win it all.
