Those Getting Social Security Won't Get a Check in March
Michigan senior citizens who are used to getting a monthly Social Security check will not see a payment in March.
According to WOOD, Social Security checks go out on the first of each month but the calendar can make a big difference and cause checks to be mailed out early. It is similar to payroll for those working who get paid every two weeks. Since the 1st of March is a Saturday the Social Security payment will go out Friday, February 28th, giving recipients 2 checks in the month and none in March.
The good news is senior citizens will not lose their Social Security payments but when the first day of the month lands on a weekend or a holiday the checks will be sent out the Friday of the previous month.
