Halloween or Hallowe’en (a contraction of its original title “All Hallows’ Evening”), also known as All Hallows’ Eve, is a yearly holiday observed around the world on October 31st.

With October 31st quickly approaching, I’m counting down a list I made of ten things I like about Halloween.  I’ll reveal one thing each day. – Shaffee

#9 - HALLOWEEN HAVOC

Halloween Havoc was a pro wrestling pay-per-view event produced annually by World Championship Wrestling from 1989 through 2000.  It was held at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit in 1994 and 1995 and I attended both shows.

1994 featured an undeniable main event of Hulk Hogan (with Jimmy Hart) defending his WCW World Heavyweight Championship inside a steel cage against Ric Flair (with Sensuous Sherri) with Mr. T as the Special Enforcer.

1995 included a Sabu match, which I totally marked out for because he came to the ring with The Sheik...

I was 17 when I went to that show.  I'd be managing Sabu 7 years later.

The 1995 show also had one of the most ridiculously stupid things I've ever seen in wrestling, Hulk Hogan vs The Giant in a Sumo Monster Truck match on top of Cobo Hall.  Even worse, The Giant got pushed off the roof!

Check back tomorrow for #8.
