There is no doubt that the Detroit Lions have a great offense. Even though their record is 5-7 the Lions were only blown out two games on the season. The Lions have one of the highest-scoring offenses in the entire league and they showed that yesterday in their pummeling of the Jacksonville Jaguars 40 to 14 in Sunday's game.

Quarterback Jared Goff was on fire against the Jaguars scoring on all 8 of their possessions. I don't think I have ever seen the Lions play like that in my entire life. Fans shouldn't worry about Goff going anywhere, he is happy with Lion's direction and things are looking good for him and his team's future.

I'm sure there are some NFL teams taking notice of the Lions running backs, D'Andre Smith and Jamaal Williams. The pair show a great balance with Williams already with 14 touchdowns for the season.

Let's not forget the Lions receiving core of Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark, Josh Reynolds, Kalif Raymond, and Jameson Williams. St. Brown and Chark have been on fire these past few games and look out because Jameson Williams is back in the lineup after being out due to injury for several weeks. I am sure NFL teams are taking note of these guys for sure. But there is one member of the Detroit Lions that several teams may be looking at I believe it would be a huge setback for the team if he were to go to another team after the season.

The One Detroit Lion The Entire NFL Is Looking At

The one guy in the Detroit Lions organization the entire NFL is looking at closely is offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. Johnson began as a tight ends coach for Boston College in 2011. Johnson quickly moved to the Miami Dolphins in 2012 where he held several coaching positions in the six years he was with the team. The Lions picked up Johnson in 2019 where he settled in as a tight ends coach but was moved to offensive coordinator in 2021.

If Johnson were to take a head coaching job for another NFL team, this could be the greatest loss for the Lions ever. When a coach takes a team that is struggling and turns them into one of the highest point-scoring teams in the NFL some heads are gonna turn. Let's hope the Lions owners are aware of this and do the right thing so Johnson has no desire to go anywhere else because at the current trajectory of his career he is head coach bound.
