The John Ball Zoo announced on Facebook Tuesday that their red panda Wyatt now has a girlfriend, or at least they're hoping a "Love Connection" will happen.

The zoo announced the arrival of the two-year-old red panda, Wasabi from the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium.

Obviously just based on the zoo’s post, they’re hoping the red pandas will bring baby red pandas to the zoo.

we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two pandas (did someone say baby red pandas?)

They’ll start introducing the two pandas to each other over the next few weeks, while they also remodel the red panda habitat. Red pandas tend to enjoy their ME time so it’s possible these two will only interact and share space while in the mating season, according to the zoo’s Facebook post.

In case you missed my low key announcement, the red panda exhibit will be closed until sometime in May, as they introduce the pandas and rebuild the area.

Welcome to West Michigan Wasabi! We can’t wait to come say hi and stare awkwardly at each other.
