Denny Hamlin won the Dayton 500 yesterday, but on the final lap, Ryan Newman was trying to keep the lead when his car was hit from behind, causing him to slam into the wall and flip upside down. Then, he was hit by another car on the driver's side, flipping him high in the air, and setting his car on fire.

Here's the end of the race, the wreck, and the crowd booing Denny for celebrating after Ryan was in such a serious crash. In Denny's defense, he said he didn't know how serious the wreck was until he got to victory lane, which is completely understandable.

NASCAR released a statement saying that Newman is in serious condition, but that doctors say that his injuries are not life threatening.
