The United States Postal Service will debut new postage rates that begin on Sunday, January 27, 2019. According to the Postal Regulatory Commission, or PRC, there will be an increase of 3.9 percent for priority express mail and 5.9 percent for raise for priority mail. The Forever Stamp will also be seeing an increase of five cents.

Listed below are some of the changes coming with the 2019 USPS rate increase.

Forever Stamp was 50 cents, now going to 55 cents

Metered Letter was 47 cents, now going to 50 cents

Additional Ounce was 21 cents, now going to 15 cents

Priority Mail Old Rate versus New Rate Retail

Small Flat Rate Box was $7.20, now going to $7.90

Retail Medium Retail Flat Rate Box was $13.65, now going to $14.35

Retail Large Flat Rate Box was $18.90, now going to $19.95

Retail Large Flat Rate Box APO/FPO/DPO was $17.40, now going to $18.45

Retail Regular Flat Rate Envelope was $6.70, now going to $7.35

Retail Legal Size Flat Rate Envelopes was $7.00, now going to $7.65

Retail Padded Flat Rate Envelopes was $7.25, now going to $8.00
