Every year, we team with Amway for the Amway Family Fireworks at Ah-Nab-Awen Park. It's a fun evening of food, drinks, music...and of course, the fireworks! But the day doesn't start with the singing of the National Anthem...it begins early that week.

I still love the snow...I know, everyone here at WGRD gets mad at me for it, but I can't help it! I've always loved the cold weather, and enjoy playing in the snow, so Grand Rapids is a great place for me. The astronauts on board the ISS know that we love pictures and video of ourselves so much, they spend a lot of time taking pictures of us from up there. Alexander Gerst was up there for six months, and set up his camera while he was working, to take over 12,000 pictures of the earth.

I love a good storm, and so far, Grand Rapids has had some nice rains, but today's storm was awesome!  It got dark and the rain came down really hard today, as you got to experience, I'm sure. I started my camera shooting a time lapse before the storm made it downtown, and at about :22 seconds in, you can see almost a wall of clouds come in from the left and everything gets dark and the rain comes

Here at GRD and our sister stations, we put on a lot of events. From big to small, from shows to just fun things to do, there's a lot of stuff that goes on.
