Grand Rapids' rockers The Verve Pipe recently surprised Grandville High School students with a pop-up performance.

Today on Segment 16, Brian Vander Ark of The Verve Pipe joined the guys in the studio to talk about new music, their show tonight at 20 Monroe Live, and he played a couple songs, too!

20 Monroe Live is the new entertainment venue opening in Grand Rapids this February. They've been generating a lot of buzz in the community, and have promised a great schedule of concerts for their opening, and they weren't kidding!

"I was young and knew everything..." Yea we all know the lyrics to the song 'The Freshman.' Well, maybe we do, I do at least! When that song came out, everyone was singing it, and most likely still are! Speaking of that song, you could check it out live this weekend with The Verve Pipe as they bring their show to Coopersville High School Saturday night!
