The Christmas weekend is upon us. I know there will be a lot of Christmas parties and gatherings this weekend. If you have some spare time and are looking for other options...here is a list of 10 things to do around west Michigan this weekend. Have Fun!
Got a nice invitation today to take a walk through the new venue that's going in next door to us here at WGRD. It's the new venue called 20 Monroe Live, and it's right between GRD and the BOB downtown. It looks like it's going to be amazing!
The Sick Puppies returned to Grand Rapids on Thursday night with Skillet, and Devour the Day, to a packed Intersection! It was a great show, and the Sick Puppies kicked a lot of ass before Skillet. It was the first show the band played with Skillet on this tour, and was great!
Thursday night, October 6th, Skillet came back to Grand Rapids with Sick Puppies, and Devour the Day, to pack the Intersection. People got there early to see all the bands, and it was a great crowd, singing along, and having a fun time with all the bands! Great show!
Saturday night was a night of total geek prog metal. Or, as Devin himself called it, "Lower Mid-Tier Prog Metal"! The Devin Townsend Project, Between the Buried and Me, and Fallujah hit the Intersection, and challenged everyone musically. It was awesome.
97-9 GRD, Wayland and Free Beer and Hot Wings are going live from the Intersection the day before Thanksgiving, and we want your band to play the show! Your band could be on stage with Wayland in front of a packed house!
Thursday night, UK band SikTh rocked The Intersection while opening for Periphery, with Toothgrinder, and Chon. I've heard a lot about this band, and about their crazy and amazing live performances. They didn't disappoint on the technical music, for sure!
