Standoff

There is a large police presence in southeast Grand Rapids Wednesday morning as GRPD are involved with a standoff with a homicide suspect.

GRPD Tweeted they were on the scene of a "critical incident" in the area of Plainfield Avenue NE and Caledonia Street NE in the Creston Heights neighborhood.

UPDATE: Gunfire was exchanged between the suspect, Jason Kohlhoff, and police during the standoff. No one was injured. The standoff ended around 2a.m. Wednesday moring when Kolhoff surrendered. He is now facing attempted murder charges for allegedly shooting at Michigan State Police during the nearly 15-hour standoff, Wood TV 8 reports.
