Pearl Street to Reopen at U.S. 131 This Sunday
After three months of construction, Pearl Street at U.S. 131 will reopen Sunday, MLive Media Group/ The Grand Rapids Press reports.
Work began in May at Pearl and Mount Vernon Avenue on the west side of U.S. 131 and has now moved to the east side of the overpass between Scribner and the Grand River.
Pearl Street Construction Starts Monday Downtown Grand Rapids
Ah, road construction season! Repairs and updates are coming to a busy street downtown Grand Rapids and will continue through August. The project comes after Michigan's rejection of proposal 1 this past week, which would have raised sales tax to pay for road improvement.
WZZM-13 reports that repairs on Pearl Street by U.S. 131 are scheduled to start Monday, May 11, if the weather allows.
