Living Colour brought their unique brand of hard rock funk to 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' last night, performing the single 'Come On' off their new LP 'Shade.'
The Aerosmith show at the Van Andel Tuesday night was really good, maybe one the best Aerosmith shows in years, and the opening band Living Colour even had Brad Whitford jump on stage and jam with them!
That wasn't the only musician meet up last night, as it turns out that Bret Michaels from Poison was also in Grand Rapids, and hanging out with people at the show...
A couple of the bands that had originally been scheduled to play Rock on the Range 2014 had to pull out of the festival. Sadly, Motorhead was one of them. Lemmy's had a lot of health issues this last year or so, and they're taking things a little slow so he can get better...
For many years, the hard rock and metal genre was predominantly populated with white male musicians, but from the late '80s on there were more rockers breaking that color barrier. Sad news for some of us heading to Rock on the Range.
Motorhead and Skindred have had to pull out of the festival.
This makes me sad, since I'm a huge Motorhead fan, and I love their live shows.
But two great bands have been added to replace them.
The coolest thing about YouTube is the access we now have to guitar stuff. Rig rundowns, guitar lessons, gear reviews where we can actually hear the stuff...and you can see how your favorite guitar players get the sounds they get!
And, of course, the lovely Rebecca Dirks. Although she seems to have disappeared from all the recent Rig Rundowns. I'm sad.

In a Super Bowl short on drama, one of the highlights of the event was seeing Red Hot Chili Peppers performing alongside Bruno Mars at the Super Bowl halftime show. But the performance is now garnering some criticism for its apparent lack of authenticity.
Living Colour announced on their Facebook page that they will perform their hit "Cult of Personality" live at Wrestlemania 29 this Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
