King of the Wing

The 2016 edition of King of the Wing moved to Divani on Ionia, to serve up some amazing wings from around the West Michigan area. There were a lot of great wings for everyone to sample, and the competition was pretty fierce, with amazing flavors.

Today, Jojo Girard from WFGR and I got to venture out to Buffalo Wild Wings to sample some of the wing flavors they're bringing out to the GRD King of the Wing competition on Monday. Dave and BWW have some great flavors ready for us for Monday, including a dry rub and a Sauce Lab sauce!

We got a real treat at the office today! Rocco and Kristen from Pipeline Smokehouse and Bar treated us to some of the awesome wings they'll be bringing to King of the Wing. King of the Wing is coming up this Monday! You'll get to try delicious wings from restaurants, caterers, and bars and decide who's got the best in West Michigan!

We went and checked it out today to sample the delicious wings Divani will be serving up on Monday, and, of course, enjoy some awesome cocktails!

Thanks to Jeremy and Jessica at Crooked Goose, I got to sample some of their amazing chicken wings! We're getting ready for King of the Wing Monday, where you can come taste all these great wings, and then tell us who's got the best wings in the West Michigan area!

The third annual King of the Wing hit The Grand Woods Lounge in downtown Grand Rapids on Wednesday night. Everyone got to enjoy some amazing chicken wings courtesy of the competitors, who really took their wings to the next level!

It kind of felt like we were cutting class when Metalhead Ned and I took off from work in the middle of the afternoon to go eat wings at Buffalo Wild Wings on Alpine. If you have been watching the sample videos for the upcoming King of the Wing competition, you'll see me in every single episode. Out of the 4 places that we went, Janna was a one, Johnnie was at three, and I was at all four of them.

King of the Wing 2015 is less than a week away, on March 25th at The Woods in downtown Grand Rapids, and WGRD is gearing up to eat a bunch of wings with you! How do we gear up? We eat a bunch of the wings people are bringing to serve up! How else?

The 3rd Annual King of the Wing is coming up on March 25th, and I got to head to Ada with Ned to sample some amazing wings at Riverhouse Ada! They're one of the contestants for the wing event, and have four delicious wing flavors they're entering in the competition. We met Christina and Ryan, the owner and chef of Riverhouse, which is a really nice restaurant on Ada, next to Gravel Bottom Brewery.

Thanks to Hobart, Vander Mill Cider, Godwin Plumbing, Metro PCS, the Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan and all of you, we had a great time at the King of the Wing 2014! This year, hosting it at The B.O.B. was cool, so everyone could sit, eat some great wings, drink some beer, and vote on their favorite wing flavors.
