An interesting piece of history that also tells a story of its day sits in a rural area of southern Michigan and lies just beneath a busy interstate highway

Police are looking for a semi-truck driver who hit and killed a man on I-94 near the 40th Street exit in Charleston Township early Friday. Fox 17 reports that the victim, a 49-year-old Battle Creek man, had been helping a friend whose car had run out of gas.

Michigan State Police say 20 drivers have been cited in the deadly Jan. 17 pile-ups on I-94 in Van Buren County, Fox 17 reports. .  The multiple vehicle crash caused I-94 to close in both directions near Hartford and Watervliet for several hours.

The massive multi-vehicle crash that shut down a five-mile stretch of I-94 near Galeburg on Friday continues to keep the interstate closed. Authorities with Michigan State Police and the Michigan Department of Transportation report that 193 vehicles were involved, which includes 76 semis and 117 passenger cars and SUVs, according to WZZM-13. Both directions of I-94 are closed between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek because of a multi-vehicle crash involving semi-trucks. The interstate is closed between Galesburg and Climax, WZZM-13, Michigan State Police and the Michigan Department of Transportation report.
