Heaven's Basement is a great English band, and you've heard the songs "Fire, Fire" and "Nothing Left to Lose" here on GRD.  You might have even seen them at Rock on the Range this year! If you did, then you got to see a really cool crowd surfing thing the singer Aaron does, where he jumps into the crowd, does a handstand, and then leads the clapping during the song!

This afternoon, the guys in Heaven's Basement stopped by the WGRD studios to have lunch and play some tunes for some winners and the staff.  They were supposed to be on tour with The Pretty Reckless, but Taylor got sick, so Heaven's Basement decided to just go on a drinking tour of radio stations and have some fun!

Well today was exciting. My normal liquid lunch was interrupted by Heavens Basement popping their head into the studio! The guys are on a what we have decided to call, a nation wide bar crawl. Heaven's Basement will be stopping by WGRD tomorrow and they are bringing lunch for a few lucky listeners who will also enjoy a short acoustic performance from the band.

Disappointing news for those fans hoping to check out the return of the SnoCore Tour this year, as it has been called off just a couple of days before it was set to kick off. Unfortunately, Taylor Momsen, lead singer of headliners the Pretty Reckless, is battling walking pneumonia and acute laryngitis, forcing the band to pull out of the tour. Heaven's Basement is a great British rock band, and its song, "Fire Fire" is rockin' 'GRD right now.  Acoustic versions of songs are always cool to check out, and these are no different. There's a totally stripped down version, and another version with full drums, too.

Man it's not often we have so many killer shows just back to back! This past Friday I drove down to Allegan and rocked out for the Carnival of Madness, which had In This Moment, Papa Roach and Shinedown. AMAZING show! I can honestly say I thought these three bands put on some of the best live shows I have seen in a while!
