Grandwich is wrapping up, and as usual, I'm behind on current events. But that doesn't stop me from getting out and trying some of the Grandwich entries this year! There are a lot of sandwiches, so I won't get to all of them, but I'm having some like the German Schnitzel at Fat Johnny's Cheesesteak.
I had almost forgotten that Grandwich was going on, since usually most of the sandwich entries are some crazy foo-foo thing with tons of strange veggies I would never want to eat. But this year, there are some great looking entries, so I want to try them! First off, I had to try the Bagger's Chicken and Waffle Sandwich at Bagger Dave's.
The sixth annual Grandwich competition opens July 5 in Grand Rapids. 34 restaurants will create their best Grand Rapids sandwich, then the public and a panel of judges will choose which sandwich is the best.
Once again it's that time of year, Grandwich time! I am a bit of a foodie and love this local contest here in Grand Rapids. Each year local restaurants come up with their sandwich that is normally something you wouldn't see anywhere else! Using locally grown food these places come up with some crazy stuff. Do this years contestants have what it takes to win the Grandwich award? Last year one of ou
