Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo has recently spoken out about his actions at Dimebash, the annual concert held in honor of Pantera's late guitarist, Dimebag Darrell. At the end of the set, Anselmo gave a Nazi salute and yelled, "White power!" which he now claims was part of a joke.

On Dec. 8, 2004, in Columbus, Ohio. There was a terrible event that occurred in metal history. A shooting occurred at the Alrosa Villa venue in Columbus, where a band called Damage Plan was playing that night. Sadly, guitarist Darrell 'Dimebag' Abbott was fatally shot.

Dime is by far in my book, the greatest guitarist of all time. Most people would think differently, but Dime was the man. In the dawn of the 25th Anniversary Edition of Pantera's "Vulger Display of Power," a lost song named "PISS" showed up. Now, we have 'TWISTED' which features Dime in his prime. December will always be the month that metal celebrates the life of the late Dimebag Darrell. Every year, Dime's girlfriend/widow Rita Haney plans a benefit  to celebrate the life of Dimebag Darrell by putting a HUGE tribute show with all the proceeds donated to the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up & Shout Cancer Fund. This year, TONS of HUGE names in Metal joined in on the jam!
