The Detroit Tigers, Michigan State University and The University of Michigan have announced plans to return to full capacity for outdoor activities.

MLB 1st Home Run of Season is Miggy's!

On Thursday, April 1st, it will be the Detroit Tigers Opening Day game against the Cleveland Indians at Comerica Park. It was announced this morning that there can be 8,200 fans in the stands for that game!

The coronavirus was the big winner when it came to baseball for the West Michigan Whitecaps in 2020. The entire season was cancelled. The team is gearing up for the 2021 season, in hopes that they will be able to hit the field this spring.

Hockey just concluded the Stanley Cup Playoffs with Tampa Bay beating the Dallas Stars. And now Major League Baseball seems to be the only sport playing somewhat of a normal time table. It's October and the playoffs are here and, sadly, this is another sport where a team from Detroit is not participating after the Pistons in the NBA and the Red Wings in the NHL missed the postseason...

Their first home game will be July 27 and to an empty park.

Major League Baseball could be back by end of June or early July - so definitely by July 4th weekend. But here are some of the proposed changes yet to be approved.
