Today was a good day. We got to sample a lot of great wings, in preparation for Monday's King of the Wing at Divani. We were lucky enough that Smokey Bones on 28th brought us some amazing wings and ribs this morning for us to kick off our day! Jojo Girard, Andy Rent, and I got to eat this amazing food for breakfast!

Tyson Foods is recalling over 52,000 pounds of pre-cooked, frozen chicken wings, Wood TV8 reports. The reason? The chicken could have an "off odor" scent, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

Barber Foods is recalling frozen, raw, stuffed chicken products due to possible Salmonella contamination.

I love me some Chick-fil-A. I admit it. The chicken is good, especially their spicy chicken sandwich and the grilled chicken club. Really good sandwiches. And their fries are really good. I even love their iced tea! I've missed them since I moved here to Grand Rapids, but I won't have to miss them much longer!

I imagine the road to fame can be difficult. I'm not sure though, at what point you say, "You know what? Screw it. I'm going to get my name out there by saying Mila Kunis stole my chicken when we were bffs in Ukraine back in the day." This is happening. And here's the woman who's doing it. The third annual King of the Wing hit The Grand Woods Lounge in downtown Grand Rapids on Wednesday night. Everyone got to enjoy some amazing chicken wings courtesy of the competitors, who really took their wings to the next level!

King of the Wing is Wednesday, March 25, at the Grand Woods Lounge in downtown Grand Rapids, kicking off at 5 p.m.! We're so excited to be eating wings with you, we got a head start!

King of the Wing 2015 is less than a week away, on March 25th at The Woods in downtown Grand Rapids, and WGRD is gearing up to eat a bunch of wings with you! How do we gear up? We eat a bunch of the wings people are bringing to serve up! How else?

For the fifth GRD Dumb Internet Challenge, Metalhead Ned and I went to Riverhouse Ada in Ada to see who could eat more of its delicious-but-dangerous Dragon Habañero chicken wings. These things pack a lot of heat after a great taste up front! A lot of heat.

We were introduced to TLC's show "Extreme Cheapskates" a while back and couldn't be more bothered by it.

Thanks to Hobart, Vander Mill Cider, Godwin Plumbing, Metro PCS, the Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan and all of you, we had a great time at the King of the Wing 2014! This year, hosting it at The B.O.B. was cool, so everyone could sit, eat some great wings, drink some beer, and vote on their favorite wing flavors.
