The Kent County Sheriff's Office is making residents aware of a rash of vehicle break-ins that occurred earlier this week.

It's awful to think about - you're out enjoying a local park and there are people out there lurking, breaking into cars.

In the first 11 days of 2023, 34 vehicles have been broken into Kent County, with many of the thefts happening in one area of Grand Rapids.

Four Grand Rapids retirement communities were targeted in a string of vehicle break-ins over the weekend.

Police are asking for help identifying a man wanted for multiple vehicle break-ins in the Kentwood area.
