A former Grand Valley State student was mistakenly identified as a suspect in a crime, and was approached by some undercover officers. When he reacted as we all would, and thought he was getting mugged, since the officers took his wallet, they tackled him and beat him severely, and choked him unconscious.
Sunday morning, about 1:45am, a Whitehall man was allegedly attacked by his girlfriend with a fish! All he was doing, according to his story, was drunkenly sketching a fish he had in his home, when his girlfriend grabbed the fish and attacked him with it.
Sounds totally believable...when I drink, all I want to do is sketch fish, too.
UPDATE: GRPD said in a press release they have arrested five suspects in connection with the assault: four juveniles and one 17-year-old.
