Bless the Parks and Recreation cast, and the political optimism they’ve come to embody. Following an NRA attempt to co-opt the image of Leslie Knope over Twitter, creator Mike Schur and stars Nick Offerman and Amy Poehler are letting the pro-gun organization have it.
It might surprise you to learn that Amy Poehler had never won an Emmy before last night, but less so that she’d make history doing it. Ahead of the full ceremony next Sunday, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey both took home Emmy awards for their SNL hosting, and made history in the process.
It’s a testament to the staying power of certain public figures that they’ve been played by more than one SNL cast member over the years. People like Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady turned former Senator turned former Secretary of State turned current Democratic Presidential frontrunner, linger on long past Saturday Night Live cast rotations. Netflix has long since earned its reputation as the patron saint of canceled TV series, owing to its resurrections of both 'Arrested Development' and 'The Killing,' but the latest property pulled from the scrap heap is wet, hot, and altogether unexpected. Might Netflix look to reunite the A-list (and 40+) cast of cult classic 'Wet Hot American Summer' for a prequel TV series?
I am a big "Parks and Recreation" fan. Amy Poehler is hilarious!

I wish I was one of the people they had caroled to.
