Steel Panther Are Bringing Their Res-Erections Tour to Grand Rapids
If you love the 80s, no one does the era better than Steel Panther who are bringing their "Res-Erections Tour" to Grand Rapids.
Steel Panther
If you love spandex, hair spray, and 80s-style rock, there is one band that delivers all of the above relentlessly like the 90s, 00s, and beyond have never happened.
To me, Steel Panther is like the WWE of 80s glam rock. It's not just the songs that are humorous but the talking during their live shows and their promo videos that are just as fun as the music.
Steel Panther is definitely not a band for small children due to the language and graphic nature of the content that gets spewed out from these guys but if you are an adult and appreciate the 80s, it's non-stop fun.
Steel Panther Member Change
Bassist Lexi Foxx had been in the band since 2000 when they were originally called Metal Shop, then Metal Skool, then when they changed their name to Steel Panther in 2008. Foxx played bass and was kind of the band's punching bag in a comical way until 2018 when he decided he wanted to do something else.
The band did a bass player search and settled on an old friend of theirs, Joe "Spyder" Lester, who had been filling in for Lexi on and off up until his departure.
Spyder had previously played with Michael Starr and Satchel's old band "The Atomic Punks" Van Halen tribute band and has also been the tour manager of Steel Panther.
