SpartanNash & Shoppers Help More Than 100 Local Food Pantries
SpartanNash Foundation and its shoppers partnered to raise nearly $800,000 that was donated to over 100 local food pantries just in time for the holidays.
A Grocery Store Giant That Helps Communities
SpartanNash runs over 200 grocery stores in nearly a dozen midwestern states under the brands Family Fare, Martin's Super Markets, and D&W Fresh Market. I have witnessed SpartanNash's generosity in two different states with two of the its brands.
I worked in South Bend, Indiana, for 18 years and did a food drive called "Stuff a Bus" with Martin's Super Markets. I witnessed SpartanNash's store chains' commitment and generosity year after year and they continue this partnership to this day.
The radio group I work for currently does a major holiday event each called the "Holiday Break-Ins" helping families who may not have a Christmas. Today they donated $10,500 in groceries to help us help seven families we are working with from their Family Fare store chain.

It is pretty easy for me to say that SpartanNash puts their money and resources where their mouth is.
More Than 100 Food Pantries Helped By SpartanNash, Shoppers
The shoppers at Family Fare, other brands, and the SpartanNash Foundation partnered to raise a record $780,000 during the foundation's 2025 holiday in-store fundraiser. The fundraiser ran from October 24 to November 26 where store guests had the opportunity to contribute to various dollar amounts while checking out, both in-store and online. The funds raised allows food banks to purchase essential items in bulk at lower costs.

Donations for all the area Family Fare locations in West Michigan will benefit food pantries in store communities. Nice job shoppers and the SpartanNash Foundation.
