The boys and girls high school basketball tournaments hit the Final Four stage in each of the four divisions this week, and six Grand Rapids teams are still in the hunt for a title.

Let's start with the Girls Tournament, which hits the semi-final stage today (Wednesday April 7) at both the Breslin Center in East Lansing and Van Andel Arena downtown.

In Division 1, Hudsonville will tip off at 5:30pm tonight against Midland Dow at the Breslin Center. The winner will play the winner of the other semi between Wayne Memorial and Detroit Renaissance for the championship at 12:30pm Friday, also at the Breslin Center.

In Division 2, Newaygo will play at 3pm this afternoon at Van Andel Arena against Detroit Country Day. Parma Western will play Portland in the other semi at 5:30pm. The winners will play at 5:0pm Friday at the Breslin Center.

Kent City will put its undefeated record on the line at 12:30 pm today in Division 3, when they square off against another unbeaten team, Calumet.

On the Boys side, Forest Hills Northern is still alive in Division 1. They will face Grand Blanc at the Breslin Center Thursday night at 5:30pm.

Catholic Central can walk to their Division 2 semi-final game against Ferndale Thursday. The Cougars play at Van Andel Arena at 3:00pm against Ferndale.

The school is just seven blocks from the Arena, and coach T.J. Meerman says if the weather stays nice, they may walk together as a team from the school to the game.

Bridgeport from the Saginaw area will take on Battle Creek Pennfield in the other semi at 5:30pm at VanAndel.

Meanwhile, in Division 4, Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian will have an early start Thursday with a 10am tip off against Rudyard from the Eastern Upper Peninsula. That game is also at Van Andel.

Good luck, ladies and gentlemen, the eyes of the city are on you!
