She Doesn’t “Believe In Math” And Mathematicians Are Backing Her Up

16-year-old Gracie Cunningham went viral on Twitter for posting a TikTok talking about how she believes math isn't real. She's received a lot of backlash from folks on the internet, but mathematician Eugenia Cheng came to the teen's defense because she recognized that Gracie was asking questions "like a mathematician would."

CBC reports that after Cunningham posted her follow up video (asking intelligent and valid questions), Cheng decided to answer her questions, and put them in a public document for everyone to read.
