Shaquille O’Neal is widely regarded as one of the most physically dominant centers in NBA history, a four-time NBA champion, and a Hall of Famer. Beyond his achievements on the court, he is also a well-known television analyst, a popular commercial spokesperson, a performing electronic music DJ under the name DJ Diesel, and a successful entrepreneur.

Shaq has amassed significant wealth over his career, giving him the means to own a private jet. That aircraft was recently spotted at Fremont Municipal Airport in Michigan.

According to the Fremont Municipal Airport Facebook page, a staff member managed to snap a quick photo with Shaq before he boarded his private jet.

Shaq’s Surprise Stop at Fremont Airport Explained

Shaquille O’Neal wasn’t in Fremont to scout an NBA prospect, film a movie scene, or promote one of his business ventures such as Big Chicken, Papa John’s, or his fitness-related investments. Instead, his visit was strictly business-related.

Shaq parked his private jet at Fremont Municipal Airport because it was the closest airport to Double JJ Resort in Rothbury. He was in town to perform as his DJ alter ego, DJ Diesel, at the 2026 Electric Forest festival, where he closed out the Tripolee stage with a back-to-back set with T-Pain.

Shaq and T-Pain kept the crowd dancing until 4 a.m. During the set, Shaq even sank a basketball shot from behind the DJ decks, sending the ball into the crowd.
