Healthcare workers and first responders on the front lines during the coronavirus pandemic will now have special shopping hours at Sam's Club.

announced that "Hero Hours" are Sundays from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. starting April 19th until further notice. In addition, all healthcare workers and first responders shopping during that time will be provided with a mask for safety.

According to Good News Network, Sam's Club was inspired to start the program after several branch managers invited local hospital workers to shop with the store associates during the employees' own designated shopping time.

In a statement to their website, Sam's Club said,

Mr. Sam once said that the best ideas come from our associates and we believe this to be true now more than ever.
