With less than one month left to go on the third North American leg of Judas Priest's Firepower tour, the metal legends have been forced to cancel tonight's show (June 5) in Colorado Springs as Rob Halford is battling bronchitis.

Judas Priest released an official statement explaining the concert cancelation, apologizing to fans while vowing, "The Priest will be back." A rescheduled date has yet to be determined and for now, fans who purchased tickets will be able to get a refund.

The full statement reads,

We are very sorry to say that Rob Halford has been fighting bronchitis for over a week and now doctors have told him he needs full rest so his voice can recover - therefore tomorrow’s Judas Priest concert at Broadmoor World Arena, Colorado Springs has unfortunately been cancelled. We did not want to cancel this show but Rob's health must come first - we are so sorry to disappoint our fans but THE PRIEST WILL BE BACK to Colorado Springs at a later date - until then refunds for all tickets will be available at point of purchase.

Earlier in the tour, Halford made headlines for kicking a phone out of a fan's hands in the front row. Eyewitnesses stated the fan kept filming the show with the flash on the phone switched on, prompting Halford's retaliation six songs into the set. The singer first commented on the incident in an exclusive statement to Loudwire, encouraging fans to film the show on their phones if they wish while cautioning them not to interfere with the performance.

Digging deep into their back catalog, Priest have lined their set list on this tour with plenty of rarities. Learn more here and see the remaining Firepower tour dates with support from Uriah Heep at the dates listed below.

Well wishes to the Metal God as he recovers from bronchitis.
