Two Drivers With Road Rage Crash and Fight On Michigan’s I-94
Everyone has had someone cut them off on the road at one point or another, but these two men took road rage to a new level on a Michigan highway.
Road Rage
We have all had a taste of a little road rage after someone cuts you off, pulls out in front of you, or puts on the brakes abruptly but some people just take it too far.
For those in the cheap seats, road rage is aggressive or angry behavior that some motorists resort to that includes dangerous driving, verbal assaults, flipping the other driver off, and sometimes these rages turn physical with actual fights on the side of the road.
I had just gotten off the freeway in front of the Grand Castle Apartments in Grandville and I exited on Wilson Avenue. There is a stop light right at the intersection when you get off the freeway and the car in the turn lane across from me didn't turn while the light turned yellow so the guy in the car behind him got out and walked up and punched the driver right in the face. I couldn't believe someone would get that worked up by someone not turning at a traffic light.
Road Rage on I-94 Leads to Rollover Crash and Fight
A couple of drivers on I-94 in Comstock Township were unable to get along on the freeway and things got ugly really fast.
FOX17 reported that the Michigan State Police said a 22-year-old Illinois man driving a car cut off a 42-year-old Portage man who was driving a truck and then is when the sparks began to fly.
The driver of the truck began tailgating the guy driving the car while both drivers were driving erratically in traffic and the two wound up crashing. The driver of the truck was unhurt after his vehicle rolled several times. The driver of the car was not as lucky.
The driver of the car hit the cement median but only suffered some minor injuries. I'm not sure if those injuries were from the crash or from the guy driving the truck after he punched the driver of the car several times.
Both men are charged with reckless driving and the man driving the truck is also charged with assault and battery.
