Rhode Island Teacher Quits Job on the Internet
If somebody wants to tender their resignation at a committee meeting, just let them do it. They can find a much larger audience on the internet if you don't.
Rhode Island teacher Stephen Round is fed up with "teaching to the test," rather than teaching kids how to learn. After several years of struggling to change things, he has finally decided to pack it in. This video is his letter of resignation, which he was not allowed to read at a school board committee meeting. Now his scathing review of his school district's policies has been viewed over 70,000 times. We're betting they're really kicking themselves over that one.
