Remains Found in Grand Rapids Positively Identified as Those of Missing Kalamazoo Woman

The Grand Rapids Police Departmenr has confirmed that the remains found in a man's Grand Rapids apartment are that of a missing Kalamazoo area woman.

Police announced that DNA tests showed a dismembered body found at Jared Chance's apartment on Fulton Street belong to 31-year-old Ashley Young of Kalamazoo.

Jared Chance, the man who Young was last seen with, has been

charged with mutilation of a dead body and concealing the death of an individual. He has not been charged with murder, but it is being held in jail on a $750,000 bond.
