If you're like me and rely on jarred pasta sauce for spaghetti night then you better check your cabinet or fridge before making dinner.

Mizkan America, Inc., the company of Ragú pasta sauces, is recalling a variety of their sauces because they "may contain fragments of plastic." According to the press release from the company, no injuries have been reported but they have taken precautions and notified all of the affected retailers whom carry their product.

The following RAGÚ sauces are on the recall list:

  • Chunky Tomato Garlic & Onion, 45 & 66 oz.
  • Old World Style Traditional, 66 oz.
  • Old World Style Meat, 66 oz.

It's recommended you look at the 'cap code' and 'best use by' date printed on the jar. You can find that here.

The sauces were produced between June 4-8 and were distributed nationwide. No other varieties, sizes, or dates are affected.

If you have one of the recalled jars, throw it out and you can call Customer Service for a replacement at 800-328-7248.
