Police Chase and Crash in Ottawa County

A 24 year old Ohio man allegedly stole a vehicle in Georgetown Township, Mich. WZZM-13 reports that a police chase in Ottawa County started in the 11:00 pm hour Tuesday after the man was first pulled over for a safety violation.

During the police pursuit, the deputy decided to terminate the chase and that is when the driver of the SUV lost control, went off the road, hit a building and sign then rolled over into a parking lot.

Both the driver and the passenger were taken to the hospital but there were no injuries.

The driver was arrested for DWI, fleeing and eluding, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
