The GRD Roadies and I stopped by East Grand Rapids High School this past Friday (September 7) for week 3 of the 2012 GRD Tailgate Tour. Despite some rainy weather, EGR High School football fans kept the field loud as their Pioneers took on West Ottawa High School.

Students and parents alike were more than happy to win prizes from Subway, MetroPCS, Sport Clips and the U.S. Army. It's amazing how people will inflate MetroPCS thundersticks so that they can make the most noise possible. Once again kids were determined to go three for three on our cornhole toss game. The line seemed to get longer as the night went on.

Winning free swag seemed to be the only bright spot Friday night for EGR fans, as the Pioneers were defeated by West Ottawa Panthers 24-17. As reported by the Holland Sentinel, West Ottawa improves to 2-1 while East Grand Rapids falls to 1-2. However, there is still a long season ahead.

Take a look at our photo gallery from the game below. See you at Jenison High School this Friday!
