Grand Rapids Brewery and Brunch Joint Team Up On New Pop-Up Restaurant

If you've ever been to Speciaction Artisan Ales at 928 Wealthy St. SE.  and wished the microbrewery served food - wish granted!

According to Crain's Grand Rapids, Speciation Ales is teaming up Basalt, a Tex-Mex brunch restaurant, on the new pop-up Oso Provisions inside the brewery.

Basalt, nearby at 1450 Wealthy St. SE, is creating a micro-kitchen at Speciation Ales for the new venture.

Basalt does not have a liquor license, so it seems like a great way for both businesses to expand their customer base.

Crain's reports that Oso Provisions will serve "comfort food classics".

You'll be able to preview Oso Provisions food as part of Speciation Ale's 7th anniversary Party on Saturday, July 20th.

The menu includes:

• Brisket Grilled Cheese
• Panko Crusted Chicken
• Oso Mac (a mac and cheese dish)
• Onion Rings
• Herby Potato Salad
• Cobbler Cake

Food will be served starting at 4p.m. until it sells out.

At the event, Speciation Cellars will b releasing this year's version of Biodiversity:

An exquisite yet simple oak aged saison. 375ml waxed & stamped bottles will be $10/ea. Bottles will be available for purchase beginning at noon when we open.

 

An official grand opening for Oso Provisions has yet to be announced. The owner of Basalt,  Steven Martinez, tells Crain's he is aiming to keep the pop-up restaurant open every day Speciation’s taproom is open.
