What Started Out As Online Trash Talk Turned To Murder Of Mi Man
Words have once again proved to be dangerous as what started as trash talk between two Michigan men online turned into one of the men being shot and killed.
Trash Talk
For as long as I can remember, sports is where I heard most of my trash-talking as a kid growing up in Michigan. I remember all those Muhammad Ali press conferences before boxing matches were as much fun as the actual fight themselves.
The trash talk between wrestlers was my favorite part of watching big-time wrestling on TV. To me, it was harmless good fun that is between the two parties who will soon be up against each other in the ring.
Online Trash Talk
Nowadays there are lots of trolls that like to trash talk online. It's easy and you can't get hit in the face by an online post, but talking trash online can lead to fights and even death.
Two Michigan Men Talk Trash Online and One of Them Dies
Two men in Washtenaw County, Michigan, started talking trash back and forth to the point of one of the men and some of his family paying the other man a visit in person.
In the past when two men had a disagreement they would settle it with a conversation or a few punches. In today's world, it's trash talk followed by gunshots.
MLive reported that an online round of trash talk between Terrell Smith and Shereif Bonner turned into Bonner and some of his family members fatally shooting Smith.
Shereif Bonner and Tyree Pitts are facing murder and conspiracy charges along with four other individuals in the death of Smith that was broadcasted live on Facebook.
Smith was broadcasting on his Facebook page while speaking his mind when Bonner, Pitts, and 4 others showed up launching a barrage of shots from three different types of firearms striking Smith and his home. Smith was taken to a hospital where he later died from the gunshot wounds.
