Uccello Brothers to Open Franca's Pizzeria in Eastown

If you're looking for a new spot to grab a slice, according to Wood TV 8, Davide and Dan Uccello are planning to open Franca’s Pizzeria at 1551 Wealthy St. SE.

Formerly Papa John's, the new pizza place is near Lake Drive, and in between Tamale's Mary and Phlōt.

Franca's Pizzeria is part of the Uccello brothers' full service food company, Flo’s Collection, which includes Flo’s Pizzeria Ristorante & Sports Bar in Belmont and Greenville, Flo’s Wood Fired Pizzeria in Rockford, Flo’s Pizzeria in Plainfield, and West Michigan Catering Concepts.

The new restaurant is named for Davide and Dan's mother, Franca.

Pizza, Pasta, Subs and More at Franca's Pizzeria

Wood TV 8 reports that Franca's will focus mainly on takeout and delivery and serve a menu similar to Flo's Pizzeria on Plainfield Ave.

So what can we look forward to eating at Franca's Pizzeria? According to the restaurant's Facebook page, "Franca's Pizzeria specializes in handcrafted, fresh, Sicilian-inspired meals."

The menu will include pizza, pasta, appetizers, subs, and wraps.

I hope they serve Stromboli too -- because Flo's Stromboli looks delicious!

When Will Franca's Pizzeria Open?

Renovations are underway at the new restaurant now. The owners recently unveiled Franca's Pizzeria's logo.

While an exact opening day has not been announced, Wood TV 8 reports the owners' goal is to open in April.
