It's a Jeep Thing

When I first moved to Grand Rapids, I hosted a bike night at a craft brewery in Cedar Springs. My coworker hosted a Jeep night at the same venue, and I had never heard of such a thing, so I stopped out. Like a typical bike night, a Jeep night featured a passionate group who loved the vehicle, from custom versions to standard, classic, and everything in between.
So, when someone who owns a Jeep says, "It's a Jeep Thing," it is just code for enthusiasts to explain things to people that might not understand.
