NASCAR: Jimmie Johnson’s Wife’s Parents Found Dead in Murder Suicide

A terrible tragedy has struck NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson's family after his in-laws and nephew were found shot to death in what appears to be a murder-suicide.

Jimmy Johnson is a seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion, five of his championships were consecutive wins which has him tied with Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt for most all-time.

I was lucky enough to see Jimmy Johnson race twice at the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Of Johnson's three wins at the Brickyard 400, the two wins I witness were back-to-back.

Jimmie Johnson met Chandra Janway in 2002 and the couple were married in 2004. The Johnsons have two daughters together and live in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Monday, June 26, 2023 tragedy struck the Johnson and Janway families.

Police Investigating The Deaths of Three of Jimmie Johnsons Family Members

Jimmie Johnson and his wife Chandra received one of the worst phone calls imaginable when police notified them Chandra's parents and her nephew were deceased.

Chandra's parents, 69-year-old Jack Janway, 68-year-old Terry Janway, and her 11-year-old nephew Dalton Janway was found deceased by gunshots at their home in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

According to MLive, Muskogge police spokeswoman Lynn Hamlin stated police were called by a woman that is believed to be Chandra Johnson's mother Terry Janway claiming there was a disturbance at their home. When police arrived they found the body of Jack Janway near the front door and then heard a gunshot go off and that is when they discovered the bodies of Terry and Dalton Janway.
