Could ‘Moneyball’ be Brad Pitt’s ticket to the Oscars?

On Thursday, Columbia released the trailer for the highly anticipated adaptation of Michael Lewis’ ‘Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game,’ in which Pitt plays Oakland A’s GM Billy Beane, a man who used sabermetric principles to boost his team’s winning record on a tight budget.

Judging by the trailer, the film looks to be ‘Jerry Maguire’ meets ‘Erin Brockovich.’ In other words: Brad might want to schedule Angie for another trip to the Kodak Theater.
