Michigan Woman Wakes Up With a Dead Man on Top of Her

Police were called to a Michigan home where they found a woman with a dead man on top of her in bed.

I was driving to Detroit earlier in the week on I-96 and drove past South Lyon. When I saw the exit for South Lyon I remembered it being a nice little town not far from Kensington Metro Park.

I used to date a girl who lived at Woodland Ridge Mobile Park in South Lyon and we used to go to Kensington Metro Park to rollerblade on a trail that wrapped around the lake. I say this because I just had that memory a few days ago and then I learned about a murder that happened in that very same mobile park.

According to FOX 2, on Sunday at 11:13 a.m. police were called about a death at a home at Woodland Ridge Mobile Park. Officers arrived and found a woman with a dead body on her.

My first thoughts were either the man died in his sleep or someone had killed him and placed him on top of the woman. I was wrong about both.

Investigators learned the woman and the deceased man had been in a long-term relationship and lived in the trailer with their son. The police quickly determined the death was by homicide because the man had been struck in the head multiple times and stabbed several times in the neck and chest.

Police arrested the woman as the alleged suspect in the murder and she is currently in jail in Livingston County. No more details on the incident have been provided since it's an ongoing investigation.
