Turkey hunting is a great way to introduce young people, or anyone new to hunting, to the experience of heading into the Michigan woods to harvest a turkey. However, for some youth, this opportunity can be much harder to access due to disabilities or a lack of funds and equipment needed to participate in the sport.

The founder of first Turkey Tracks hunt is Eric Corey of Knox, Indiana. Eric was an avid hunter who wanted to share his experiences with others that had disabilities like he did. With the help of his parents and several others, Eric was able to create those hunting experiences for hundreds of others.

Sadly, Eric lost his battle with ALS on January 18, 2012. His legacy lives on through his family, hunting buddies, friends, landowners, and the many supporters who continue to carry his vision forward.

If Turkey Tracks cannot accommodate everyone during the official weekend, many volunteers arrange additional outings on other dates to ensure more youth can experience the hunt.
