There has been a rash of bomb threats at Michigan schools in the past week and one of those threats came from a note that was placed by a teacher wanting to get the day off.

In the past two weeks, there have been a series of threats made at schools all around Michigan and even some Michigan Walmart stores have received bomb threats.

It is tough for schools to know if a threat is made by someone who actually intends for there to be harm done to the kids or if it's kids doing pranks to get the day off of school. Either way, it's dangerous and these are both crimes that come with consequences when caught.

Michigan School Teacher Allegedly Writes Bomb Threat Note To Get Day Off

Last week a bomb threat note was found in a classroom in Hazel Park, Michigan. What was first thought to be a note a teacher found in a notebook but didn't turn in, has turned into police believing the teacher was behind the note all along in order to get the next day off from work.

According to WXYZ the teacher's name who allegedly wrote the bomb threat note is Paul Jacobs. Jacobs is a teacher at Hazel Park Junior High School. In a strange turn of events, Jacobs has been charged for writing the bomb threat note that was found in his classroom.

Jacobs was arranged in court on February 4 for making an intentional threat of an act of violence against a school, employees, and students which is a one-year misdemeanor. Jacobs will be back in court for a pre-trial hearing on February 28.
